What will happen when you read these test results

Well, if you’re a male who regularly hits a Bowflex, nothing. If you’re a male who thinks a Bowflex is a pasta shape, prepare to find yourself in a state of psychological shock. You may begin to chew your thumbnail or wander towards the box of bagels Ashley brought into the office this morning — don’t do that! Science says endurance and resistance training can help regulate the way you process stress. Before you crack open the schmear, have a go at a few bicep curls. You’ll feel lox better.

Green is best

Notice: The little green squiggly line is above the little pink squiggly line. This is what it looks like when you’re winning. The green squiggly has more than double the number of subscribers as the pink squiggly. This is what it looks like when you’re crushing it. The green squiggly is losing money, while the pink squiggly is raking in da dough. This is what it looks like when the world makes no sense.

In other news, Pandora has unlocked that sneaky superpower called “invisibility.”

Another way to pass the time

Calculate the number of days until your 60th birthday. Got it? Great. That’s how many days until you feel the sweet, sweet taste of self-esteem. Mathematicians calculated the trajectory of confidence across a “normative lifespan” and found humans don’t top out until they’re 60-years-young. Then they look out from the peak of certainty before tumbling down a cliff of insecurity in their 70s bottoming out in a valley of doubt at age 90. Something to look forward to!

Ideal reading conditions are in the pitch dark with your eyes closed

Amazon launched its Prime Book Box for kids as an elitist, invite-only party earlier this year and now they’re all, “What the heck, everybody, come on in and leave your shoes on!”

“With the subscription service, customers can get a set of books selected for their children based on their age and they can choose to have it delivered every one, two or three months. The box, which costs $23, will include either two hardback books or, for ages two and younger, four board books.”
