New Enhancements: Expire Splits & Net Payout Settings For Residual Calculations

New Enhancements: Expire Splits & Net Payout Settings For Residual Calculations

As a business in the payment industry, having access to accurate and flexible residuals reporting is an absolute must-have to be successful.

IRIS CRM is are aware of the importance of efficient residuals reporting, which is why we continue to heavily invest in residual reporting enhancements.

As the newest additions to our powerful residual reporting module, we are pleased to announce the release of two new features — the ability to set an expiration date on agents’ splits and to set up default net splits for agents.

With these two important features, you’ll no longer need to keep track of when to expire agents’ splits manually, or to set up an agent net split each time a new merchant account is created.

Instead, you can configure both of these tasks to happen automatically to save valuable time while reducing the possibility of potential errors.

Let’s strap in and check out these new additions in detail below!

Enabling User Split Expiration Dates

IRIS CRM now allows for the configuration of split expiration dates for each individual agent, on individual merchant basis or both with default expiration dates on the user level.

To set the expiration date as an Admin, open the user’s settings page, select the merchant(s) that the user has been assigned to, and select the Update Split Expiration Date checkbox.

The expiration month and year dropdowns will then appear automatically for you to select from:

In the same section, you can also set the new Split After Expiration which will kick in automatically after the split expires.

Splits can be set to be based on Gross or Net income.

After you’ve configured the expiration options, click on the Mass Update For Selected Merchants button and the changes will be applied.

The merchants assigned to the user will now show a calendar icon in the Split column indicating that an expiration date has been configured:

Clicking on the icon will open the split expiration popup where you can delete or update the expiration date, and view the Split Expiration Date History:

The expiration dates can also be managed from the Manage Merchant page, where you can view all of the users that have been assigned to the merchant, and configure their splits.

We have also updated the Merchant Importer to support the expiration date enhancement.  This means that when you are performing a new merchant import you will now have the ability to map and apply the expiration date to users at the time of the import:

Setting Up Default Net Split

To set up a user’s default net split open the user’s account settings page and select Net in the Gross/Net dropdown:

You can also use the Default Split Expiration dropdown (shown in the above image) to make the default split expire in one, two, or three years (or make it non-expiring).

The default residual split that you set for a user will be automatically applied when this user is linked to any merchant and when a new account is being created using the Link action on the lead.

If you need to make an adjustment to the user’s split type with maximum flexibility, you can always do so on each merchant individually:

We hope that you will find these new features helpful for your residual calculation needs!

Stay tuned as we continue to find more cool ways to improve your team’s workflows and productivity!!
