New Enhancements: Update & Copy TSYS Equipment

New Enhancements: Update & Copy TSYS Equipment

We have just added the ability to Update and Copy Equipment for TSYS merchants to your favorite Merchant Services CRM.

The latest enhancements come on the heels of a recently released feature that enables TSYS Wholesale ISOs to manage TSYS equipment and VARs.

Now in addition to the ability to view and add new equipment, we’ve added the options for updating existing equipment and copying existing V# configurations.

“V#” is effectively another term for your terminal identifier (a different number than your “terminal number’). In essence, a terminal’s V# is its unique identification that tells your payment processor which terminal each of a merchant’s transactions was processed on.

For merchants with multiple locations and a large number of terminals, managing multiple V-numbers has traditionally been an enormous headache, particularly when configuration changes have to be made for each individual terminal – a repetitive and error-prone process.

But with the new enhancements– designed specifically to make V-number management easier for TSYS Wholesale ISOs – those headaches are now a thing of the past.

Let’s dive in and see how you can begin using the new enhancements today!

Viewing VAR Information

The merchant’s equipment can be viewed on the Merchant Details tab under the Account Status tab:

To view more detail on the VAR click on the view icon in the Actions column:

A popup window now appears showing the VAR detail:

Updating Equipment

To update existing equipment simply click on the pencil icon in the Actions column:

A new Helpdesk ticket is now launched with the TSYS – Update Equipment (Auto) type.

Select users to notify and click Add Ticket:

A new page now opens as shown in the below screenshot.

While editing the configuration settings of a specific V#, you can now choose to apply the same edits to multiple existing V#s using checkboxes.

This feature helps to copy settings using a single operation with a single ticket.

This enhancement will remove many of the repetitive actions and data entry errors that occur in technical support and deployment scenarios.

All of the configuration edits are automatically stored and notated in the ticket Comments as before, but now for multiple V# records at one time!

After you finish making your edits submit the request and the status of the TSYS command will be displayed in the ticket’s comments section:

TSYS command status

Copying Equipment

To copy existing equipment simply click on the Copy button in the Actions column:

A new Helpdesk ticket is now launched with the TSYS – Copy Equipment (Auto) type, as shown in the below screenshot:

Simply enter the number of copies you wish to make, select users to notify, and add the ticket.

The copy equipment configuration wizard now opens up which allows you to configure each individual V# copy independently:

After you finish configuring the first V# copy, click the Continue button at the bottom of the page to move on to the next V#:

After you edit the final V#, click the Continue and Build Now button at the bottom of the page to create the new copies:

The status of the TSYS command will now again be displayed in the ticket’s comments section, showing the status of each new V#.

We hope you enjoy using the new enhancements.

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
